Geometry is one of the most interesting topics in Math because it is more pictorial and less textual. Students love drawing geometric figures and solving questions of triangles, quadrilaterals and different types of areas and volumes. But students’ also dread geometry homework lot of times, especially when deadlines are tight. Homework can be tiring and might need lot of time and patience. Transtutors is your lucky friend who can help you in all your homework.

Geometry questions, Geometry homework help

Transtutors provides professional assistance in all types of math assignments. If you are stuck with geometry homework and need help urgently — turn your work to Transtutors. Do not work if its 3 am in the morning and you have to submit the work at 5 am, our tutors will still help you! Speed and accuracy is our forte.

Light

The study of light has fascinated physicists throughout the ages. Newton believed that light was made up of particles whereas Young demonstrated that light has wave-like properties.
The study of light developed independently until 1865 when James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879), by a purely theoretical argument based upon a missing symmetry in the known laws of electricity and magnetism, added a term to the equations and predicted a form of electromagnetic wave that travels with a speed exactly equal to the then-known speed of light (3 × 108 meters/second). In one swoop he consolidated light, electricity and magnetism, as well as other forms of electromagnetic waves, many of which were yet unknown.

Light is an electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength that is visible to the human eye (about 400-700nm), which means that light is simply a name for a range of electromagnetic radiation that can be detected by the human eye. This wave has amplitude, which is the brightness of the light, wavelength, which is the color of the light, and an angle at which it is vibrating, called polarization. This was the classical interpretation, crystallized in Maxwell’s Equations, which held sway until Planck, Einstein and others came along with quantum theory.

Light exhibits certain behaviors which are characteristic of any wave and would be difficult to explain with a purely particle-view. Light reflects in the same manner that any wave would reflect. Light refracts in the same manner that any wave would refract. Light diffracts in the same manner that any wave would diffract. Light undergoes interference in the same manner that any wave would interfere. And light exhibits the Doppler effect just as any wave would exhibit the Doppler effect. Light behaves in a way that is consistent with our conceptual and mathematical understanding of waves. Since light behaves like a wave, one would have good reason to believe that it might be a wave.

Although light is a form of wave, in many instances, its behavior can only be understood by resorting to a particle description. The photoelectric effect is one such event. Experimental measurements demonstrated that the energy of individual ejected electrons was proportional to the frequency, rather than the intensity, of the light. Furthermore, below a certain minimum frequency, which depended on the particular metal, no current would flow regardless of the intensity. These observations clearly contradicted the wave theory, and for years physicists tried in vain to find an explanation.
